Measure the rooms, review moisture conditions, and check flatness, support, door clearances, and existing floor layers.
Scope tear-out and disposal, repair or flatten the base, and follow the selected product's climate and acclimation instructions. Required curing time comes before installation.
Lay out plank direction, joints, perimeter gaps, and transitions. Use click-lock or glue-down only when the product and substrate allow that method.
Review edges, trim, transitions, cleanup, and care instructions. Confirm when the rooms can take furniture and normal traffic.

Final quotes require in-home moisture and subfloor verification. Allowances are preliminary; repairs, moisture mitigation, trim lengths, product waste, minimum charges, taxes, and delivery must be confirmed in the written scope.
Straight answers
Not until the surface meets the selected manufacturer's flatness and structural requirements. Low spots may need patching or a compatible self-leveling underlayment; high spots may need grinding. Level and flat mean different things: a uniformly sloped floor can be flat, while a hump can stress locking joints.
You can request labor-only installation for homeowner-purchased flooring from Menards, Lowe's, Floor & Decor, Home Depot, or another retailer. Share the product name, installation instructions, quantity, and project ZIP code. We review compatibility, missing trim, subfloor preparation, and scheduling before accepting the installation scope.
A waterproof plank does not waterproof the basement assembly. Slab vapor, standing water, wall leaks, and moisture trapped beneath flooring still need evaluation. Moisture testing and the exact product instructions determine whether a vapor barrier or a specified mitigation system is appropriate.
Square footage alone cannot set the schedule. Tear-out, leveling and curing, product conditioning requirements, occupied rooms, stairs, and trim can extend the work. After inspecting the home, we separate preparation, plank installation, and return-to-use timing in the written scope.
