Luxury vinyl plank

Plank flooring built for real daily traffic.

Choose the color at home. We check the floor below it, plan the transitions, and install one clean run wherever the layout allows.

Wide plank flooring across an open Fort Wayne main level

Where it fits

Choose for the job, not the sample board.

  • Busy main levels and open plans
  • Homes with pets or muddy entry traffic
  • Basements after moisture conditions are checked

The installation plan

  1. 01

    Pick the right construction

We compare wear layer, plank thickness, attached pad, texture, and locking system.

  2. 02

    Check flatness and moisture

A resilient plank still needs a sound, flat base. We flag prep before installation.

  3. 03

    Plan the run

We map plank direction, transitions, cabinets, doorways, and expansion space.

  4. 04

    Install and protect

The crew installs to the product requirements and leaves care instructions.

Compare before choosing

The category gets you close. The exact product decides the fit.

Specification
Wear layer and total thickness vary by product. Compare the exact mil layer, core, attached pad, and warranty together.
Installation
Methods in this category include click-lock and glue-down. The selected product instructions and conditions in the home determine the method.
Tradeoff
A waterproof product label does not prevent moisture from reaching the subfloor around edges or through open joints.
Price planning
This category can appear across value, mid, premium planning tiers. Pro Build prices the selected product and measured scope instead of publishing an unsupported per-square-foot teaser.

After the crew leaves

Use the floor with a clear handoff.

  • Most floating LVP can be walked on after installation.
  • New base or shoe molding is scoped separately and clearly.
  • Water-resistant material does not correct an active moisture problem below the floor.

Straight answers

LVP questions, answered.

Is LVP waterproof?

Many products resist topical water, but seams, walls, and the subfloor are not made waterproof by the plank. Active leaks and slab moisture still need to be addressed.

Can LVP go over existing flooring?

Sometimes. The existing surface must be sound, clean, flat, and allowed by the new product warranty. We confirm that on site.

How long does installation take?

Most single-room jobs are completed in a day. Larger or more complicated work may take several days. Your written estimate will spell out the expected schedule before you approve the job.

Does the floor need to be perfectly level?

It needs to meet the manufacturer's flatness tolerance. A sloped floor can sometimes be acceptable; humps and low spots that flex the locking joints are the bigger concern.

Do you install baseboards and transitions?

Yes when they are included in the scope. The estimate identifies what will be removed, reused, or replaced.

Can I see LVP samples in my home?

Yes. That is the point of the in-home estimate. You can compare undertones in the actual daylight and evening light of the room.
